Like the RONCO Cooker "Set It ANd Forget It."by Shirley Steinmetz on 10/04/17
Like the Ronco commercials of days gone by I have learned to set it and forget it when I pray for any situation. I can remember when my children were growing up they would come to me with a request, when I would say “Yes, I will do that.” I meant it. If I said I would think about it, that is what I would do.
Most of the time if, in my opinion, It was not going to harm them, my plan was to do whatever their request was if it was in my power. But here is the “Kicker” if they would keep bothering me about the Issue, I would deliberately put off doing or giving them their request.
Mathew 6:7, 8 says this.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of before ye ask him.
Those verses are followed by the “Our Father”
I believe we must pray our requests, believe the answer is enroute, and it is the perfect solution to our needs. “Set it and Forget it.”
